Common Usages of Pesticide

发布时间:2015/1/10 16:41:18

Spraying
Spraying is the commonest application method of pesticide for controlling pests and diseases of crops in the field. It needs a sprayer and the water source with good water quality. The sprayer is used to contain the pesticide solution diluted by water. The solution sprayed onto the crop surface will form into a protective layer, reaching the goal of controlling pests and diseases.

Powder Spraying
The powder spraying means that the wind power produced by the powder blower sprays the dust powder of pesticide on to the surface of crops. This method fits to be applied in water-deficient regions and features high working efficiency and strong drift ability. However, the control effect is inferior to spraying method and it also readily pollutes the environment.

Spreading
This method is suitable for granules or when the pesticide needs to be mixed with the soil. In the process of preparing the soil mixed with pesticides, if the formulation is dust powder, the pesticide can be directly and evenly mixed with the fine soil in certain proportion, and if the formulation is soluble powder, the pesticide should be diluted by certain amount of water and then solution spraying onto the fine soil can be conducted. Finally, users should evenly stir the fine soil and spread it in the crop field. For the control of pests on plants, this method is advised to carry out when the fog is not lifted and for controlling the pests in the soil, it should be started after the fog is lifted. For the highly toxic pesticides, mixing with the soil for spreading is inappropriate.

Soil Treatment
The application of this method makes use of plough, during which, the pesticide is applied on soil surface by means of spraying, powder spraying or spreading, and then is ploughed into the deep soil layer. It is often used to control the diseases spread in the soil or control pests as nematodes and so on. It also suits the application of systemic pesticide which is absorbed by roots of crops, then transmitted to the over-ground part of crops and is effective in the control of pests and fungus.

Seed Dressing
This method means that users should thoroughly mix seeds with the pesticide in a certain proportion and then sow. It can kill the fungus attached on the seeds, underground pests as well as the diseases in seedling stage.

Seedling Soaking
It is a method soaking seedlings with the pesticide solution which is prepared with certain concentration. Generally, the formulation of applied pesticides is AS (aqueous solution) or EC (emulsifiable concentrate). This method can effectively kill the fungus attached on seedlings. Users should strictly control the solution concentration, temperature and soaking time to avoid hazard.

Bait Poisoning
This method is used to kill pests and bandicoots on the ground. Users can evenly mix the pesticide possessing stomach poisoning action with the bait pests and bandicoots are fond of and then apply the poisonous bait on the ground.

Fumigation
It makes use of the poison gas produced by the pesticide with volatility to control pests or diseases. Mainly, it is applied in the soil, greenhouse, warehouse, etc.

Smoking Fumigation
It is the primary application method for pesticides which belongs to the smokes. After set fire, the pesticide produces dense smoke spreading in the air to kill pests and prevent diseases. It is applicable in the greenhouse, warehouse and in other airtight places.

Smearing
First prepare the high-concentrated solution with systemic pesticides and then smear the solution onto the parts of plant as the stem, leaf and the vegetative point. This method mainly destroys the pests with piercing-sucking mouthparts and boring pests. The fungicide with certain permeability can also be used to control the pests and diseases of fruit tree.
